Married Couple Sarah Jessica Parker & Matthew Broderick to Star on Broadway in 'Plaza Suite'

Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband Matthew Broderick are heading to Broadway together to star in the first Broadway revival of Neil Simon’s Plaza Suite!

The show consists of three one-act plays with three different couples, where SJP and Matthew will play all the roles. Each of the one-acts takes place in Suite 719 at the Plaza Hotel.

“We simply love the play,” Sarah Jessica told the New York Times. “It’s most assuredly a period piece, with cultural and sexual politics that were radically different, but there are these larger themes, about marriage and disappointment and ambition and parenting and betrayal and love, that don’t hang their hat on a specific generation.”

Matthew added, “The fact that we’re married is an interesting aside, but really I’m more concerned about doing a good job, and I can’t think of anybody better for the part than my wife.”

The show will have a short run in Boston this coming February before transferring for a 17-week run at Broadway’s Hudson Theater, officially opening on April 13, 2020.

Sarah Jessica recently had to slam this story about her marriage.

“Just like clockwork. Over a decade of the same untrue, disgraceful nonsense. As usual, days ahead of our anniversary on May 19th, The National Enquirer is making its annual best effort to fabricate and undermine, this time a blissful 4 days with my husband in London,” she wrote.

“There was no ‘screaming match’ as alleged in a restaurant or on the street, nor was there a confrontation as alleged about his time in London. My children and I are enormously proud of the work he is doing. After much thought I have decided to share a typical letter of ‘inquiry’ from these people. As if the truth, a response or any comments from me or my publicist had any bearing on what they threaten to ‘report.’ Hey National Enquirer and your sister publications, why not celebrate a marriage of 22 years and relationship of 27 years? Because, despite your endless harassment and wasted ink, we are nearing 3 decades of love, commitment, respect, family and home. There’s your ‘scoop’ From a ‘reliable source’.#tabloidharassment”

Zac Efron 'Had A Lot of Reservations' About Playing Ted Bundy in 'Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile'

Zac Efron hits the couch alongside Charlize Theron, Seth Rogen and Matthew Broderick as they film their appearance on The Graham Norton Show, airing tonight (April 26)!

The 31-year-old actor opens up about starring as Ted Bundy in his new film Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile and says: “I had a lot of reservations about playing a killer and in this genre of film. I wasn’t interested in glorifying anything, but I was interested in the psychological aspect of whether he was capable of real love.”

“I was very hesitant to do it, but I knew I could,” Zac continues. “I just didn’t want to jump at something that could be seen as a desperate shot at trying to change my image. It was a unique experience and not what anyone expects. It makes me proud.”

Zac also opens up about the possibility of sequel to The Greatest Showman: “Hugh (Jackman) is working on all sorts of things including a one man show. What’s next? I don’t know but I hope there is a sequel.”
