Shonda Rhimes keeps it bright in purple while attending a photo call for her television production company ShondaLand held during MIPCOM 2016 on Tuesday (October 18) in Cannes, France.

The 46-year-old writer-producer was joined at the event by Tony Goldwyn from Scandal, Mireille Enos from The Catch, and producer Betsy Beers.

Shonda, who is being honored as Personality of the Year, spoke about her journey to the top of her profession and about how broadcasting standards and practices had changed over the years.

“Before I started working in television, the standards were very loose and then got tighter again. In the ‘NYPD Blue’ era, it was very loose and then got tighter again. And then now, things have reached a nice place where it feels like it’s realistic. A lot of it is how America has changed,” Shonda expressed (via Variety). “The standards have changed to match the American people. The same way gay marriage is now legal in every state in the nation, you can now show gay couple kissing and it’s not a big deal.”

The Once Upon a Time actress was joined by Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. star Clark Gregg as they celebrated their series’ renewals at the television event.

Also representing their renewed shows were Jennifer’s co-star Lana Parilla, The Real O’Neals stars Martha Plimpton, Jay Ferguson and Noah Galvin and The Catch’s Peter Krause and Mireille Enos.

Stars Ken Jeong, David Blaine, Timothy Hutton and The Bachelor host Chris Harrison all attended the network event as well.

ABC has announced the fate of more of its series and sadly some favorites have been canceled.

Marvel’s Agent Carter has been canceled after two seasons while freshman drama series The Family has been canceled after one season.

While fans of Hayley Atwell might be upset that she will not return in the Marvel series, her new drama Convinction has been given a series order so she will be back on the network!

Shows that have been renewed include Shondaland’s The Catch, the comedy The Real O’Neals, and the drama series American Crime.

It was also announced that Shonda Rhimes‘ new Romeo and Juliet sequel series Still-Star Crossed has been given a series order. The series picks up where the classic Shakespeare tragedy left off.

It was also announced today that Nashville has been canceled after four seasons on the air.

Mindy Kaling strikes a pose while arriving at a discussion for her show The Mindy Project held during the 2016 TVfest on Saturday (February 6) in Atlanta, Ga.

The 36-year-old actress and executive producer was joined at the festival that day by Scandal‘s Scott Foley and How to Get Away With Murder‘s Charlie Weber, Tom Verica, Jack Falahee, and Liza Weil.

Also in attendance was Mireille Enos and her cast mates on The Catch – Elvy Yost, Jay Hayden, Alimi Ballard, Jacky Ido, and Rose Rollins.

Michelle Monaghan brings a pop of color to the carpet at the InStyle and Warner Bros’ 2016 Golden Globe Awards Post-Party held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday night (January 10) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 39-year-old actress was joined at the party by other actresses including The Catch‘s Mireille Enos, X-Files‘ Gillian Anderson, and The Slap‘s Melissa George.
