Amanda Kloots Will 'Address Her Trauma' With Therapy After The Passing Of Husband Nick Cordero

Amanda Kloots is opening up about how rough not only the holidays, but the year, has been on her following the tragic passing of her husband, actor Nick Cordero.

In a candid post on Instagram Story, the new co-host of CBS’ The Talk revealed that she’s finally ready to seek out therapy.

“New Years has been tough, extremely hard for me. I’ve cried more recently than in awhile. I thought Christmas would be hard, this was worse,” Amanda wrote. “I think it’s because when the new year comes you want a clean slate or to forget about last year, esp 2020. But, I can’t forget about last year and will not be able to wipe that slate clean.”

She continued, “I also think I am slightly scared of what can happen in a year, how much things can change. Lastly, I think everything I went through is finally catching up to me and I am finally ready to go to therapy to address the trauma.”

Amanda went on, saying that she’s being open to her followers to share that they are not alone in their own grief.

“I share all of this as my continued honesty about grief and loss. How it ebbs and flows, changes a lot. How it hides and then finds you. How it’s a journey, not just a week. How it’s continued struggle even as I stay positive and active. How you can cry some days for two seconds or two hours. How it makes you feel so lonely and confused.”

“Being honest, acknowledging all of this instead of hiding it, has helped me. I hope it helps you,” Amanda concluded.

Amanda and Nick married in 2017 and in 2019, they welcomed their first child, Elvis, who is almost two.

Nick sadly passed away earlier in the summer following a long battle with coronavirus. Amanda had been sharing his battle with the world as the pandemic waged on.

Amanda Kloots is opening up about dating after the death of her husband Nick Cordero.

On Sunday (November 15), the 38-year-old fitness instructor answered questions from fans on her Instagram Story.

When asked if she sees herself ever “finding love again one day” and having “more children,” Amanda admitted she hasn’t ruled out the possibility.

“I hope so. I would love to find love again,” Amanda said. “I would’ve told Nick this if it would’ve been me on my deathbed, and I think he would’ve been saying the same thing to me if he could’ve talked.”

Amanda is mom to 1-year-old son Elvis, whom she shares with the late Broadway actor. Nick died back on July 5 from coronavirus complications.

Also during the conversation with fans, Amanda revealed the “hardest” part of the grief process.

“I would say the times that it hits you,” Amanda answered. “It comes at waves — different times, all the time — and you never know when. It’s the hardest.”

She also compared her grief to a “backpack that you wear,” adding, “It’s always on you. It’s always a part of you. Somedays it’s heavier than others. Somedays you don’t even know it’s there. Somedays you do.”

Nick Cordero's Wife Amanda Kloots Slams Donald Trump's Coronavirus Tweet: 'There Is No Empathy At All'

Amanda Kloots just posted a heartbreaking message after Donald Trump‘s tweet about COVID-19.

Trump wrote, “I will be leaving the great Walter Reed Medical Center today at 6:30 P.M. Feeling really good! Don’t be afraid of Covid. Don’t let it dominate your life. We have developed, under the Trump Administration, some really great drugs & knowledge. I feel better than I did 20 years ago!”

Amanda‘s husband, Broadway actor Nick Cordero, battled the virus for over 90 days in the hospital before passing away.

Amanda posted on her Instagram account, “To all the over 208,000 Americans who lost loved ones to this virus – I stand by you, with you, holding your hand. Unfortunately it did dominate our lives didn’t it? It dominated Nick’s family’s lives and my family’s lives. I guess we ‘let it’ – like it was our choice?? Unfortunately not everyone is lucky enough to spend two days in the hospital. I cried next to my husband for 95 days watching what COVID did to the person I love. It IS something to be afraid of. After you see the person you love the most die from this disease you would never say what this tweet says. There is no empathy to all the lives lost. He is bragging instead. It is sad. It is hurtful. It is disgraceful.”

Another major star slammed Trump for saying “don’t be afraid of Covid.”

Amanda Kloots Reveals Why She Documented Nick Cordero's Coronavirus Battle

If you remember, Amanda Kloots documented her husband Nick Cordero‘s over 90 day hospital battle with Coronavirus before his tragic death on July 5.

She’s now explaining why she provided so many updates on his time in the hospital, including his leg needing to be amputated and how he wasn’t a candidate for a lung transplant later on in his stay.

Nick was sick and in our home for a good week, and I wasn’t saying anything,” Amanda told the New York Times. “And then when he went into the hospital, I thought it was important to share: My husband, who is 41 and has no pre-existing conditions, is now in the ICU after just being tired. Also, my business was online, and I was trying to make money for our family, and I thought if I don’t go public, I’ll be living a lie.”

“He was getting better,” Amanda added about his final days. “They were almost going to take him off the vent. And then he got a terrible infection in his lungs and his fever spiked, his blood pressure dropped, his heart stopped and he died for two minutes, and that was the start of the spiral down. It just felt like he could never catch a break.”

“But it was a different time, and Nick just got trapped,” she added. “I think it would be different if he went to the hospital now.”

Our continued thoughts are with Amanda and their one-year-old son Elvis.
