Avril Lavigne Defends Nickelback After Mark Zuckerberg's Facebook Comment

Avril Lavigne did not agree with Mark Zuckerberg‘s recent Nickelback diss.

The 32-year-old singer took to Twitter to voice her opinion about the comment, which was made by the Facebook CEO in his video about the social media site’s new AI program Jarvis.

In the video, Mark asks the AI to “play us some good Nickelback songs.”

“I’m sorry Mark, I’m afraid I can’t do that,” the AI replies (in Morgan Freeman‘s voice). “There are no good Nickelback songs.”

“Many people use your products – some people love them and some people don’t,” Avril wrote on Thursday (December 22). “Either way, you’re allowed your musical opinion however, your jab at Nickelback is in poor taste.”

In case you didn’t know, Nickelback‘s frontman is Avril‘s ex-husband Chad Kroeger.

Nickelback Cancels No Fixed Address Tour After Chad Kroeger's Medical Emergency

Nickelback has just announced that they’ve cancelled the remaining dates of their No Fixed Address North American tour due to Chad Kroeger‘s medical emergency.

The 40-year-old Nickelback singer has been diagnosed with an operable cyst on his voice box and will have surgery in three weeks followed by vocal rest.

“I am sorry I have to interrupt the party this summer and I am definitely not thrilled with the prospect of being silent for many weeks to come when I could be out there playing for our fans” Chad said. “I am relying on my doctor and his team to help get my voice back in good form as quickly as possible.”

Chad‘s medical team expects a full recovery and think that Nickelback will be back in Europe on September 30 to resume their tour.
