The 28-year-old reality star went shirtless for a boat day with his pals on Tuesday (June 23) in Jupiter, Fla. Matt was joined by his bestie Tyler Cameron, who was a contestant on the latest installment of The Bachelorette, among some other friends for a day on the water.

“It’s an honor,” Matt said of being the next Bachelor. “I’m just going to lean into myself and how my mom raised me and hopefully when people invite me into their homes on Monday night they’re going to see that I’m not much different from them and they see that diverse love stories are beautiful.”

Tyler Cameron has a lot of thoughts after his ex, Hannah Brown, went viral for using a derogatory word over the weekend while singing a rap song.

First, Tyler reposted former Bachelorette star Rachel Lindsay‘s message about it and praised her response, saying, “Rachel hit the nail on the head. Y’all need to look at the comments. We have a long ways to go on this issue and a lot of learn. If you find yourself getting defensive, you are part of the problem.”

Some people had an issue with this message, and Tyler added, “This is not about dragging HB. This is about using your platform for reasons like this. So we can educate those who don’t get it. This is bigger than HB. This is a societal problem.”
