Matt James Went Pantsless for His First TV Interview About Being 'The Bachelor'

If you were watching Matt James‘ interview on Good Morning America on Friday (June 12), you might not have realized that he wasn’t wearing any pants!

The 28-year-old real estate broker is the new star of The Bachelor and he was interviewed from home.

Former The Bachelorette contestant Tyler Cameron, who just so happens to be Matt‘s best friend, was in the room while the new star was being interviewed and he shared a behind-the-scenes look on Instagram Stories.

In the video that Tyler shared, you can see that Matt was actually pantsless during the interview!

“It’s an honor,” Matt said of being the next Bachelor. “I’m just going to lean into myself and how my mom raised me and hopefully when people invite me into their homes on Monday night they’re going to see that I’m not much different from them and they see that diverse love stories are beautiful.”
