Katie Holmes totes around her favorite Valextra shopping bag in white pergamena while out and about in Los Angeles on Wednesday (May 27).

Over the weekend, the 30-year-old actress took the stage with her Broadway costar Dianne Wiest. Together, they told the story of Staff Sargent Jose Pequeno, of Sugar Hill, N.H., who became permanently disabled while serving in Iraq. Katie played Pequeno‘s younger sister Elizabeth, and Dianne his mother Nelly.
