Russell Brand Compares MTV Movie Awards to 'The Avengers'

Russell Brand hides behind his shades while exiting a studio on Friday (May 18) in Los Angeles.

The day before, the 36-year-old funnyman opened up to Ellen DeGeneres about his ex Katy Perry, where he admitted he still loved her.

Next month, Russell will host the 2012 MTV Movie Awards.

“This MTV Movie Awards will be more impressive than The Avengers,” Russell told press, “and you won’t have to wait an hour for someone to Hulk out.”

The award show will air live from L.A.’s Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday, June 3, on MTV at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
