Neil Patrick Harris Rolls Out the Emmy Awards Red Carpet

Neil Patrick Harris helps roll out the red carpet for the 2013 Emmy Awards on Wednesday (September 18) at L.A. Live in Los Angeles.

The 40-year-old actor, who is hosting this year’s show, also stopped by the Audi Green Room backstage at the Nokia Theatre.

Neil recently chatted with The Daily Beast about his favorite hosting moments over the years and said that the opening number at this year’s Tony Awards was his favorite.

“You have to honor the scale of where you are and in doing so, you can let the audience at home and at the theater know that it’s going to be one big-ass show, so the song kind of wrote itself in that regard,” Neil said of the show moving back into Radio City Music Hall.
