Dakota Fanning's Mom Didn't Like Her With Dark Hair

Dakota Fanning heads up the trails of Runyon Canyon for a hike in Los Angeles on Tuesday afternoon (January 6).

The 20-year-old actress grabbed an iced coffee to go afterwards and pulled on her Free City hoodie.

Dakota is featured in W Magazine‘s February 2015 issue of W Magazine along with her younger sister and actress Elle.

“For Night Moves, I dyed my hair dark. That was a shock,” she explained to the mag. “Everyone acted differently toward me�”even my family. My mom has dark hair and dark eyes, so I’ve never really looked like her. For the first time, we were similar. And 
she was not into it. [Laughs] 
The day after the movie 
ended, I went back to being 
blonde�”and myself.”
