Pharrell Williams Explains Why He Surrounds Himself with Women

Pharrell Williams lands on the cover of GQ magazine’s February 2015 issue, celebrating influential musicians.

Here’s what the 41-year-old entertainer had to share with the mag:

On surrounding himself with women: “I am a sensitive person, so I want to be with sensitive people. Women have a way of expressing themselves that I can relate to more honestly.”

On not needing to appeal to the masses for his art: “You want to be camouflage? Go ahead. Blend in. But we want to be that twinkle in the sky. And you might not be able to see that star now. But it’s daytime. Wait till it gets dark.”
