Denzel Washington's 'The Equalizer' Will Get a Sequel!

Denzel Washington has an exciting project coming soon – his movie The Equalizer will be getting a sequel!

The 60-year-old actor is expected to reprise his role as Robert McCall after the first film did very well at the box office last year. It earned over $192 million at the global box office.

The sequel news was announced by Sony Pictures during the studio’s CinemaCon panel.

The first film followed a man (Washington) who believed he had put his mysterious past behind him and had dedicated himself to beginning a new, quiet life. But when he meets a young girl (Chloe Moretz) under the control of ultra-violent Russian gangsters, he can’t stand idly by – he has to help her.
