American Idol's Constantine Maroulis Arrested for Domestic Violence

Constantine Maroulis was arrested on Wednesday (August 12) for domestic violence after allegedly kicking the mother of his child in the groin.

The mother of the 39-year-old former American Idol contestant’s four-year-old daughter called the police from their home in Wyckoff, New Jersey after he reportedly threw her to the ground and kicked her.

The police came and arrested Constantine, but he was quickly bailed out.

Constantine‘s rep has told TMZ that he was acting in self-defense after he told the woman in question that he was leaving her. His rep adds they have evidence to prove it was self-defense and he did not kick her. Constantine also says he has a thigh injury from when she threw something at him.

Constantine came in sixth-place on the fourth season of American Idol.
