Taylor Swift Sings 'Ronan,' Gives Emotional Speech at Her Concert - Watch Now
Taylor Swift surprised her fans when she gave a very emotional performance of her single “Ronan,” which she has only played once before in concert at Stand Up to Cancer back in 2012.
The 25-year-old entertainer gave a speech before going into the song, saying that Ronan‘s mother Maya Thompson was in the audience at the Glendale, Arizona concert on Monday (August 17).
Taylor wrote the song for Ronan Thompson, who died from neuroblastoma in 2011, using the blog entries written by Maya.
In the heartfelt speech before playing the song, Taylor said that cancer has recently hit her close to home. Her mother Andrea was diagnosed. Watch Taylor‘s performance of “Ronan” below…
