Lena Dunham Speaks to Room of 'Power B-tches' at THR's Women in Entertainment Breakfast!

Lena Dunham speaks on stage as an honoree at the 2015 THR Women in Entertainment Breakfast held at Milk Studios on Wednesday (December 9) in Los Angeles.

The 29-year-old actress was joined at the event by her Girls producer Jennifer Konner, actress Nia Vardalos, legend Barbra Streisand, model Tyra Banks, and two others who also spoke at the event: UnREAL creator Sarah Gertrude Shapiro and actor Sean Penn.

“My fantasy has always been a room full of Hollywood power bitches enjoying breakfast food,” Lena said in the her speech. “I am not advocating for a world where women erase men from the workplace, as pleasurable as that might be for me on certain days…I am advocating for all of us here to make it our mission to use our resources and turn this around as a team … It’s the right thing to do and it’s the only thing to do.”

“Think about it for a second – screaming willy-nilly, going over budget, casting couches, epic benders charged on the studio dime and never, ever worrying about whether our art and our politics are aligned or whether our next creative effort will be our last,” Lena said about equality, urging the people in the room to follow her lead.
