Charlie Sheen Stopped Taking His HIV Meds, But He's Back On

Charlie Sheen said that he went off his HIV meds in an interview on The Dr. Oz Show, but his manager says he is back on the medication.

The 50-year-old actor’s appearance aired on Tuesday (January 12), but the taping took place on December 8.

Charlie revealed that he was off his meds for a week to receive treatment in Mexico with a doctor who is not licensed to work in the United States.

“I’ve been off my meds for about a week now,” Charlie said. “Am I risking my life? Sure. So what? I was born dead. That part of it doesn’t faze me at all.”

Now, Charlie‘s manager is opening up to People to reveal he is back on his meds.

“Charlie is back on his meds. He tried a cure from a doctor in Mexico but the minute the numbers went up, he started taking his medicine,” the rep said. “He said he would start on the plane on the way home and that is exactly what he did.”
