Lena Dunham On Showing Her Private Parts On 'Girls': 'I Didn't Go All The Way'!

Lena Dunham rocks a floral dress as as she makes an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Wednesday (April 6) in New York City.

The 29-year-old year old actress promoted her hit show Girls and was also later joined by her creative partner Jenni Konner to talk about their email newsletter Lenny Letter.

Lena dished about having to show her private parts in the latest episode of Girls.

“We saw everything that I had to offer,” Lena joked to Seth. “It was shocking to me also. The thing is when they told me about it in the writers room, I was like ‘c’mon guys, don’t do this to me. Then five months later I was sitting there on the set listening to the director say they needed to add an extra key light because they couldn’t see quite clearly enough. I had to have an extra light for my vagina!”

“Here’s why it’s not porn,” Lena added. “You don’t see what’s inside so I feel like I can continue to proudly campaign for a presidential candidate without getting fired. Not that I have a problem with people who show what’s inside. I’m just saying that in our conservative nation, I didn’t go all the way.”
