Daisy Ridley & Naomi Watts Set to Star in 'Ophelia' Adaptation

Daisy Ridley and Naomi Watts are set to join the cast of a film adaptation Ophelia.

The duo will star in the film, which is set to re-imagine Shakespeare‘s classic play “Hamlet” through the eyes of Ophelia and is based on a novel by Lisa Klein.

“Set in the 14th century but spoken in a contemporary voice, Ophelia will put the titular character center stage,” producer Daniel Bobker explained.

Daisy has several other upcoming film projects that were just announced, including The Lost Wife and J.J. Abrams‘ Kolma.
