Kurt Russell Talks Playing the Hollywood Game with 'GQ'

Kurt Russell shows off his rugged good looks on the cover of GQ magazine’s October 2016 issue, on newsstands now.

Here’s what the 65-year-old actor had to share with the mag:

On his legacy in movies: “Most of the movies I’ve done, people have had a good time with. Some of them I’ve done they’ve had a great time with. And then some of those movies that I’ve done are not just going to stand up, they fall into the category of: Yeah, a hundred years from now, there will be some moviegoers that will look back and say, ‘Well, look at that guy… I mean, that was a hundred years ago, but he knew what fucking time it was. He knew what he was doing.’”

On Walt Disney asking him for advice before his death: “He was a cool guy, great guy. He reminded me a lot of my grandfather.”

On playing the Hollywood game: “There are some specific reasons for that under-appreciation thing and I’m responsible for them. Did I play the game correctly? You bet I didn’t! I did not. I didn’t go to the events. I didn’t say the right things to the right people. I said the wrong things to the right people.”
