Alanis Morissette's Former Manager Who Stole Millions From Her Gets 6 Years in Prison
Jonathan Schwartz, the former business manager who confessed to embezzling millions of dollars from Alanis Morissette, just got sentenced to six years behind bars.
He plead guilty to charges of wire fraud and filing a false tax return, according to THR.
Alanis testified in court this week and asked that that he receive “a sentence that sends a crystal-clear message.”
He got 72 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release. He will also need to received outpatient addiction treatment, regular drug testing, and mental health counseling.
