Four Potential 'Game of Thrones' Spinoff Shows in the Works
If you’re bummed about the impending end of Game of Thrones, you can take solace in this news.
HBO is looking into four potential spinoff shows with four different sets of writers, including creator George R.R. Martin, according to THR.
The four different projects will reportedly explore different time periods in the universe, but it’s unclear if they will be prequels or sequels.
The four groups of writers are: Max Borenstein; Jane Goldman and George R.R. Martin; Brian Helgeland; and Carly Wray and George R.R. Martin.
Current showrunners Dan Weiss and David Benioff are not writing any of them, but they will serve as executive producers should any of the projects move forward.
Game of Thrones season seven is set to debut on July 16.
