Queen Elizabeth & Prince Philip Skipping Prince Louis' Christening

Queen Elizabeth and her husband Prince Philip will not attend the christening of Prince Louis, which will be happening later today.

The official guest list was published by Kensington Palace earlier on Monday (July 9), and fans began wondering why the Queen and Prince Philip would be skipping.

The BBC is reporting that a Buckingham Palace official said the decision was made “some time ago,” and added that it is not due to health concerns. This news comes just a few days after the Queen skipped a royal event due to health reasons.

Expected to be in attendance at the christening are Prince Louis‘ parents, Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton, as well as Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla, Duchess Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
