'Modern Family' Death: Jesse Tyler Ferguson Gives a Clue

We found out a few weeks ago that a character would be killed off of Modern Family sometime this season, and now cast member Jesse Tyler Ferguson is giving one clue…it’s not the dog!

“It’s definitely a person, not the dog. I’ve been hearing rumors about the dog, it’s not the dog. It’s no animal, it’s a human being,” Jesse told E! News.

Jesse then teased, “I’ll just say I haven’t been at work in a few weeks. I’m just kidding. Or am I?”

Weeks ago we learned that the death would involve a “significant character on the series” and the death “will be a moving event — and an event that has repercussions across several episodes.”
