Sonequa Martin-Green Defends 'Star Trek: Discovery's Bearded Spock - Watch Here!

Sonequa Martin-Green hit Stephen Colbert‘s couch on The Late Show on Monday (January 14) and shared her thoughts on the fans outrage of young Spock’s beard look in Star Trek: Discovery.

“We laugh about it, we all do. Spock doesn’t, he grew that beard very seriously,” the 33-year-old actress joked, referring to Ethan Peck who is taking on the role.

“It’s 10 years before TOS, we have some room to explore and it’s just one of those things,” Sonequa said. “There’s time for him to shave. I think it looks amazing and you’ll see, it works perfectly in the story.”
