Maren Morris Performs 'Girl' Live on 'Tonight Show' - Watch Here!

Maren Morris took center stage on last night’s (March 11) episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon!

The 28-year-old served as the musical guest, with stark-white guitar in hand, and performed the title track from her recently released album, Girl.

Maren recently revealed that the song was inspired by an argument she was having with a friend in the music industry, but soon realized that it was actually about her own insecurities.

“Once I had the realization that this wasn’t about another person, that I needed to say this to myself and have some tough love on my inner critic, I think that’s where the whole song took a turn,” Maren said. “I got really inspired to finish it because I knew that I needed to write it down and get it off my chest. I just wanted to keep the language in the song really simple, like a letter you would write yourself.”
