Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello Actually Planned Many Followups To Their First Collab 'I Know What You Did Last Summer'

Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes give us heart palpitations with their joint cover for V Magazine.

The longtime friends and musicians are opening up about their brand new collaboration, “Senorita”, and how they planned follow ups to their first duet, “I Know What You Did Last Summer” that were ultimately shot down.

The first title was “I Know What We Did Last Fall”, and their managers were “like, No,’ and we were like, ‘What?!’ We almost fired them. We were like, ‘What do you mean? How’s that not a good idea?’”

Camila continued, “It was really cool. Then we did the winter version that was like Game of Thrones version.”

“Then we did Spring, which was like flowers.”

Shawn adds, “But none of those worked. But ‘Señorita’ was great. I think this is probably the most anticipation I’ve ever had to release a song. Besides ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer.’”
