Gerard Butler Recalls Surprising Encounter With Fan Michael Cohen on 'Kimmel' - Watch Here!

Gerard Butler stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday (August 15), and dished about his very surprising fan encounter with Michael Cohen, President Trump‘s former personal lawyer.

“Last Halloween I was in New York and I was in this restaurant, I saw Michael Cohen across the way. I see him looking over, and we’re checking each other out – will see,” the 49-year-old actor recalled.

“I then go to the toilet, come back and my buddy says, ‘by the way, Michael came over and asked if it was okay if I say hello, I’m a big fan of him’,” Gerard continued. “He comes over and we have this lovely chat and he says, ‘you know what my favorite movie of yours is? Law Abiding Citizen, he said. On my life. I can’t even tell you what the next five minutes of the conversation were because I couldn’t believe he just said that. He was very sweet though.”

2009′s Law Abiding Citizen starred Gerard and Jamie Foxx and took place in Philadelphia, telling the story of a man driven to seek justice while targeting not only his family’s killer but also those who have supported a corrupt criminal justice system, intending to assassinate anyone supporting the system.

Gerard Butler also talked about a town with a dirty name in his homeland Scotland, his house being destroyed in the Malibu fire, and working with Morgan Freeman and Nick Nolte on their new movie Angel Has Fallen.
