'Jumanji' Sequel Is Performing Better Than Expected at Box Office!

Jumanji: The Next Level, the second film in the reboot franchise, is now in theaters and it’s performing ahead of the initial expectations.

The movie is on track to open with more than $50 million for its first weekend after grossing $19.4 million on Friday, according to THR.

Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, and Jack Black star in the new film. Sony Pictures reportedly estimated a $35 million opening weekend, so the studio must be very happy by the result!

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle launched with $36 million for its opening weekend in December 2017 and it ended up grossing over $400 million at the domestic box office alone.
