Kobe Bryant's Prom Date Brandy Breaks Silence on His Death

Kobe Bryant brought singer Brandy to the prom when he was 17-years-old and they remained close friends over the years. Now, she is breaking her silence on the death of the beloved NBA player.

The 40-year-old singer took to Instagram to share her reaction to the deaths of Kobe and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna.

“Never will I understand. My condolences to @vanessabryant, and all families who are in pain during this tragic time. Love ♥️ #Mamba #Mambacita,” Brandy captioned a drawing of the father-daughter duo.

Kobe and Brandy went on a few dates after their prom outing, including the Eraser premiere as pictured here, but ultimately decided to just be friends.
