Megan Thee Stallion Says Her Record Label Won't Let Her Release New Music

Megan Thee Stallion is opening up about issues with her record label.

Over the weekend, the 25-year-old rapper took to her Instagram Live Story to claim that her record label 1501 Entertainment isn’t letting her release any new music after she asked to renegotiate her contract.

“When I signed, I didn’t really know what was in my contract. I was young. I was like 20,” Megan explained, before finding out there where some things in her previous contact she wasn’t aware of. Despite that, Megan said she initially “wasn’t upset.”

“I’m thinking in my head, ‘everybody cool, we all cool, we family, it’s cool, it’s nice,’” Megan said before revealing that things changed after she asked to renegotiate. “Now they telling a b—h that she can’t drop no music. It’s really just a greedy game.”

Megan then explained that she had no plans to leave 1501, and that she just wanted to go over their past agreement.

“I’m not a greedy person,” Megan continued before revealing why she decided to go public with her struggle. “I see the s—t that camp be saying about me, and I be like, ‘Damn — since you got so much to say, why you just won’t tell ’em why you mad? You mad because I don’t want to roll over and bow down like a little b—h and you don’t want to renegotiate my contract.”

After Megan opened up about what was going on, 1501 Entertainment CEO and founder Carl Crawford seemingly addressed the situation in a cryptic post about “loyalty.”

“At a time when loyalty is at an all time low it’s nice to be link with @jprincerespect who is steady teaching me how to move in this cutthroat industry. And I know that terrifies some especially the ones who double cross me,” Carl wrote on Instagram, including the hashtag “Payback is a b—h.”
