Joe Biden Will Address Sexual Assault Allegation for First Time

Joe Biden is set to address the sexual assault allegation made against him by Tara Reade.

The former Vice President of the United States and the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee will be interviewed on Friday’s episode of MSNBC’s Morning Joe, according to Deadline.

Reade accused Biden of sexually assaulting her in 1993 in an office building at Capitol Hill. At the time, she was one of his staffers. His campaign has denied the allegation, but Biden himself has not yet addressed it publicly.

Nancy Pelosi, the speaker of the house, addressed the allegation today.

“I have complete respect for the #MeToo movement. I have four daughters and one son. There is a lot of excitement around the idea that women will be heard and will be listened to. There is also due process, and the fact that Joe Biden is Joe Biden. There have been statements from his former [Senate] office that there was never any record of this. Nobody ever came forward to say something about it other than the principal involved,” she said.
