John Boyega Shows Off His 'Star Wars' Memorabilia & Life Size Porg & Reflects On The Franchise In 'Star Wars Day' Interview

John Boyega is celebrating Star Wars Day in the best way possible – by having a marathon of the film franchise with his family in quarantine.

In his interview with CinemaBlend, the 28-year-old actor gave a tour of his media room which is packed with Star Wars memorabilia – from posters and Finn’s vest, to a helmet and a Porg.

Turns out that John is the proud owner of a LEGO Porg, as the company sent him the life size toy after he tweeted his dislike for the creatures.

“It weighs, like – it’s so heavy,” John shared. “It’s a big-arse Lego porg that they gave me. I can’t send it back.”

During his interview, John also opened up about how quarantine is giving him some time to finally take in all that he experienced with the franchise.

“It’s more of a time, for me anyway, to just kind of be a bit nostalgic and really take in the moments that I was able to enjoy. Now I have time for family, so it’s really, really a win-win,” John shared.

He adds that leaving the series behind is allowing him to reflect.

“I think for me, honestly, it’s all been good. It’s been great because I’ve been able to go home and ask that fundamental question that I couldn’t answer through the six years (which) was, ‘What just happened to me?’,” he said.
