Barack & Michelle Obama To Deliver Commencement Speeches For Multiple Graduation Specials

Barack and Michelle Obama will be delivering words of wisdom in a few commencement speeches in some upcoming graduation specials.

The former President and First Lady of the United States will both speak at YouTube’s virtual Dear Class of 2020 event on Saturday, June 6, to honor the Class of 2020.

They’ll appear alongside Lady Gaga, BTS, Malala Yousafzai, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, and many others.

This event will also feature a virtual after party, where BTS will perform, and special appearances from Alicia Keys, Zendaya, Kerry Washington, and others will also happen.

“I’ve always loved joining commencements––the culmination of years of hard work and sacrifice. Even if we can’t get together in person this year, Michelle and I are excited to celebrate the nationwide Class of 2020 and recognize this milestone with you and your loved ones,” he posted on Twitter with the lineup of graduation events.

It was also announced that Barack will appear in LeBron James‘ online graduation special, Graduate Together: America Honors the High School Class of 2020.

This program will air across all the major television networks on Saturday, May 16 at 8/7c and digital streaming platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, as well.
