Naya Rivera's Fans Hold Vigil at Lake Piru

Naya Rivera‘s fans are paying emotional tribute to the late star.

Fans of the Glee actress, who tragically died due to a drowning accident while boating with her son Josey, gathered together on Saturday (August 1) at Lake Piru, Calif.

The vigil was organized by her fan page, Naya‘s Army, and attended by local mourners in California, as well as attendees from other states, including Oregon and Indiana.

Fans displayed white balloons, flowers and various pieces of artwork in tribute to Naya, as well as a rainbow flag reading “Thank you, Naya” – a reference to her pivotal role in LGBTQ visibility with her role as Santana Lopez in Glee.

“Without Glee, I swear I would not be here. I would not be alive. That’s just a fact,” one fan said at the vigil, via CBS.

Naya was also just laid to rest at a private funeral.

Naya‘s final television appearance was just announced and it aired this weekend.
