Megan Thee Stallion Is Helping Rebuild Homes in Houston

Megan Thee Stallion is giving back.

The Houston native has partnered with the National Association of Christian Churches (NACC) Disaster Services and U.S. Representative Sheila Jackson Lee to help rebuild her hometown after the winter freeze in Texas, per Billboard.

In February, the blizzard in Texas left millions of residents without water, heat or electricity. After power was restored, many were left without water and with significant damage to their homes.

“Seeing the devastation and hearing the heartbreaking stories that have surfaced, I knew I had to do something to help my hometown,” Megan said in a statement. “I am so happy that Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, the NACC and I aligned on the goal of repairing the homes of the elderly and uninsured single moms who are the most vulnerable and often displaced by these kinds of devastating events.”

According to the website, the NACC and Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee’s office will be evaluating referrals and online submissions to provide plumbing, electricity, structural repairs with walls to those in need of assistance.

Some of Megan‘s famous friends and brands have also pledged to help, including “Beautiful Mistakes” collaborator Maroon 5 and “Body” music video co-star Taraji P. Henson as well as Fashion Nova, Dolce and Gabbana and Revlon.

Travis Scott also recently announced he will be providing aid to Houston residents impacted by the storm.
