Jill & Jinger Duggar Break Their Silence Following Brother Josh Duggar's Arrest

Josh Duggar‘s family is speaking out.

The former 19 Kids & Counting star was arrested at his home on Thursday (April 29) and charged with two counts of receiving and possessing child pornography.

His parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar issued a statement following his arrest, writing, “It is our prayer that the truth, no matter what it is, will come to light, and that this will all be resolved in a timely manner. We love Josh and Anna and continue to pray for their family.”

Now, more members of the Duggar family are coming forward with their thoughts.

Josh‘s sister Jinger wrote on Instagram, “We are disturbed to hear of the charges against Josh. While the case must go through the legal system, we want to make it clear that we absolutely condemn any form of child abuse and fully support the authorities and judicial process in their pursuit of justice.”

Jill Duggar Dillard and her husband Derrick Dillard also spoke out after news of his arrest broke, telling People, “We just found out this information yesterday. It is very sad.”

Back in 2015, a police report emerged alleging that Josh had molested five underage girls between 2002 and 2003, when he was 14-15 years old.

“Twelve years ago, as a young teenager, I acted inexcusably for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret,” he said at the time.

His wife Anna just announced that that they were expecting their seventh child together. They also are parents to Mackynzie, 11, Michael, 9, Marcus, 7, Meredith, 5, Mason, 3, and Maryella, 17 months.

Josh‘s lawyers recently released a statement regarding his charges and his possible jail time has been revealed.
