Miranda Cosgrove Hits Back at Online Trolls Sending 'iCarly' Co-Star Laci Mosley Racist Remarks

Miranda Cosgrove is calling out some iCarly fans.

The 28-year-old took to social media after hearing that Laci Mosley, who stars with Miranda in the upcoming reboot of the series, had been receiving racist comments to the point where she ultimately had to block people.

“I’ve been deleting and blocking people, but I can’t be bothered anymore,” Laci opened up about the issue on her Instagram Story, and added certain messages from online trolls that had sent her hateful remarks.

She added that she felt “silly being upset by racism cause it’s just how this terrible planet is, but sometimes it still catches me off guard.”

However, when Miranda and Paramount+ heard of the remarks, they weren’t going to just let it go and issued a statement in support of Laci.

“iCarly are proud to be racially diverse, not only in our crew but our cast,” Miranda posted on her own IG Story. “We have recently seen reports of racism towards a member of our iCarly cast, and it is not acceptable. Please think about your words, and take time to understand how what you say can impact other people. Thank you.”

Laci would later share the statement writing, “I really feel taken care of at my job. They are the best people.”

In the upcoming reboot, Laci will star as Harper, the roommate to Miranda‘s Carly. You can see some of the first pics and details of the reboot here!
