Seth Meyers Recalls the Unusual Births of His Two Sons & Shares His Thoughts on Having a Third Child

Seth Meyers has a hilarious prerequisite to having a third child!

The 47-year-old talk show host made a virtual appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday (May 25) and said he’s open to having another child with wife Alexi Ashe, but only if the birth story lives up to the arrivals of his two sons.

The comedian’s first son, 5-year-old Ashe, was nearly delivered in the back of an Uber, while Axel, 3, was born in the lobby of Seth‘s apartment building in New York City.

“I think if we had a third, the issue would be, ‘How do you top it?’ right?” Seth joked to Ellen. “It’s every comedian’s biggest fear: that you’ve already had your best bit and you have to come up with a better one.”

“Maybe while skydiving? How’s that?” he asked.

“Hopefully you have another little tiny [parachute] that you can [use for the baby],” Ellen replied.

“Well, that’s the thing — how do you get the chute in, so it can release?” Seth said, adding, “You’ve already thought this through.”

“I have ideas,” Ellen said.
