Erykah Badu is apologizing for her actions.
Earlier this week, the 50-year-old musician shared a video of herself dancing at former President Barack Obama‘s 60th birthday party, which took place last weekend in Martha’s Vineyard.
In the video, Erykah is on the dance floor with a big smile on her face, and in the background, is Obama dancing with H.E.R. before giving her a hug.

Erykah‘s video caused a bit of a controversy online since no one in the video appears to be wearing masks.
She then deleted the video, but not before people criticized the Obamas and their guests for not wearing masks amid the ongoing pandemic.
On Thursday (August 12), Erykah took to Twitter to offer an apology to Barack and Michelle Obama.
“Mr. And Mrs. Obama , Please forgive me 4 being the ‘terrible guest’ at such a sacred event for your family. I was so inconsiderate, Thank you for all your love. What an example of ‘how NOT ‘ to be …… erica,” Erykah tweeted.
Erykah also shot down claims that they Obamas “made” her take down the video and “apologize publicly.”
“Naw sis. It’s just right thing,” Erkyah tweeted back.
You can find out which other A-list stars were also in attendance at Obama‘s 60th birthday bash.
