Jenna Dewan Joins 'The Rookie' As Series Regular!

Jenna Dewan isn’t leaving The Rookie anytime soon!

The 40-year-old actress was just upped to a series regular on the ABC program, as firefighter Bailey Nune, Deadline reports.

Bailey is described as “fun and unpredictable with a subversive sense of humor” and Jenna‘s character made her first appearance in the season three finale of the show, after being asked out by Nathan Fillion‘s Nolan.

The Rookie creator-showrunner Alexi Hawley opened up about Jenna‘s storyline on the show, telling TV Line that “we couldn’t really do a ton of love interest stuff during the middle of the pandemic, but at the end of the day it felt like, ‘Let’s find him somebody to potentially take us into next season’.”

Alexi added, “Jen is really special, and I love the character.”

Jenna was spotted filming new scenes for the show just last week!

The Rookie airs Sundays on ABC.
