Netflix Announces Premiere Date for New Shonda Rhimes Series 'Inventing Anna'

Shonda Rhimes‘ highly-anticipated new series Inventing Anna has a premiere date!

Variety announced the release date for the show, which will be the first series Shonda has created since 2012′s Scandal, on Tuesday (November 2).

According to the outlet, the show is set to debut in February 2022, with the exact date to be revealed at a later time.

Shonda opted the story after reading Jessica Pressler‘s New York Magazine article “How Anna Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People,” which details the exploits of a young Russian woman who convinced New Yorkers that she was a German heiress.

The show will serve as a follow up to the massive success of Bridgerton, which Shonda acted as an executive producer on.

Inventing Anna stars Anna Chlumsky (Vivian), Julia Garner (Anna Delvey), Arian Moayed (Todd), Katie Lowes (Rachel), Alexis Floyd (Neff), Anders Holm (Jack), Anna Deavere Smith (Maud), Jeff Perry (Lou), Terry Kinney (Barry), and Laverne Cox (Kacy).
