Nicole Kidman Explains Why She Wouldn't Do a Broadway Show

Nicole Kidman won’t be doing a Broadway show anytime soon.

In a new interview with Andy Cohen for his SiriusXM show Andy Cohen Live, the actress discussed her new film Being the Ricardos and revealed why she’d rather just watch a Broadway show than star in one.

“I don’t think my voice strong enough,” she explained. “It’s not strong enough. I mean, the, Broadway is like… And also I just would feel so insecure. I want to go and watch Broadway. I love going to see Broadway. I can’t wait to see, see Hugh Jackman. Right. Music Man. Here we come. But, um, yeah, no, I, I don’t feel, I don’t feel strong enough or secure enough to sing on Broadway.”

However, she did tease that she’d “love to do a Big Little Lies season 3.”

Nicole continued, “I know that we would, all, we all are very, very good friends and the idea of working together again. I mean, literally Laura [Dern] just texted me. And I was meant to see Reese [Witherspoon] and Laura last night, but I was doing, I was working. But yeah, the idea of being together and, you know, point in your life where you go, ‘Gosh, it’s just, it’s nice to be around the people I like being around and working with the people I like working around,’ let alone on a, a hit show like that. So, you know, but that is not, it’s not on the cards, but yeah, we would like to do it.”

Andy also asked if time apart from her husband Keith Urban while she’s working keeps things hot in their relationship.

“We don’t spend that much time apart, honestly,” she replied. “No, I don’t want to. And he doesn’t want to, and we have two kids, so we, we literally, um, move heaven and earth to be together. And, yeah, 16 years in and I am still crazy about him.”
