Dr. Oz Exits 'Dr. Oz Show' Amid Senate Run, Daughter Daphne to Take Over with Cooking Spinoff

Dr. Mehmet Oz is making a big career change.

It was announced on Monday (December 13) that Sony Pictures Television would be retiring The Dr. Oz Show so that the TV personality could pursue his political career and devote more time to running for a senate seat in Pennsylvania.

According to The Wrap, the long-running health and wellness series is set to end on Jan. 14, 2022 and three days later, his daughter Daphne will launch her new Dr. Oz spinoff The Good Dish.

Daphne will be joined by co-hosts Gail Simmons and Jamika Pessoa, who did a weekly cooking segment on Dr. Oz with Daphne.
