Ingo Rademacher Is Suing ABC Over COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate for 'General Hospital'

Ingo Rademacher has chosen to pursue legal action over his firing from General Hospital.

The 50-year-old actor was let go from the long running soap after refusing to take the COVID-19 vaccine, which is mandated for the cast and crew of the show.

Ingo, who played Jasper “Jax” Jacks on the soap for almost 25 years, first cited religious exemptions for not taking the vaccine, and according to Variety, is going after ABC for not honoring that.

“I am entitled to a religious exemption against mandatory vaccination for COVID-19 on the basis of my deeply and sincerely held moral belief that my body is endowed by my creator with natural processes to protect me and that its natural integrity cannot ethically be violated by the administration of artificially created copies of genetic material, foreign to nature and experimental,” an email send to Disney’s HR department, that was included in his court filings, read.

The suit also claimed that the mandate violated his right to privacy.

“This should not be a political issue,” the suit states. “There is no need for everybody to get the COVID-19 shot, even if the president demands it.”

Ingo wasn’t the only actor let go from the soap last month over the mandate.
