Bob Saget was one of the nicest men on the planet,” Pete wrote in his statement, which was posted to comedian Dave Sirus‘s Instagram.

“When I was younger and several times throughout our friendship he helped me get through some rough mental health stuff. He stayed on the phone with my mom for hours trying to help in anyway he can – connecting us with doctors and new things we can try,” he continued. “He would check in on me and make sure I was okay.”

“I love you Bob it was an honor to know you. Thank you for your kindness and friendship. My condolences to the family,” Pete added.

The Full House actor and stand-up comedian was pronounced dead at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Orlando, Florida at the age of 65. The Orange County’s Sheriff’s Department then released a statement regarding Bob‘s death, saying that there were “no signs of foul play or drug use.”

Stars like Whoopi Goldberg, Andy Cohen, Kat Dennings, and Kathy Griffin are among the stars to react to the devastating news.
