'Bridgerton' Star Simone Ashley Gave Herself a Tattoo After Watching a Prison Inmate's Tutorial

Simone Ashley developed a unique skill during lockdown.

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday night (March 28), the Bridgerton star revealed that she taught herself how to tattoo through YouTube videos.

“I thought it would be a good idea to get my own tattoo pen with a needle and everything. It’s called a rotary pen,” she told host Jimmy Kimmel, adding that it was a “surprisingly easy” process to buy the instrument.

“I just clicked a button… Apple Pay,” Simone explained.

Most stores were closed by the time she ordered the pen, so she ended up just Googling “how to do a tattoo at home,” which led her to a YouTube user named PrisonTattoo.com.

“I looked at his videos and I was like ‘Wow, there’s an inmate making videos… in prison. This is a fab idea,’” she continued. Simone then showed off her tattoo, a sphynx cat on her ankle, and also revealed she had tattooed some of her castmates as well.
