Leading into the Final Jeopardy question, Mattea had the led over Danielle with an $8,000 difference.

The clue was: “These 2 mayors gave their names to a facility built on the site of an old racetrack owned by Coca-Cola magnate Asa Candler.”

While Danielle got the answer right as a Georgia native – William Hartsfield and Maynard Jackson – Mattea did not.

Wagering $3,601, this knocked her down to $15,599 – just $1 less than Danielle.

In a statement, Mattea said the experience “feels still like a dream. I really came down here hoping to maybe win one game and so I still can’t believe it. It’s strange, obviously I didn’t come through in the last one, but I still feel so happy and so lucky to have had this experience.”

Her winnings totaled $560,983, which ranks her fifth in earnings from regular-season games.
