Christopher Russell Talks Re-Teaming With Cindy Busby For Hallmark's 'Warming Up To You'

Christopher Russell and Cindy Busby are back together again for Hallmark‘s brand new movie, Warming Up To You.

The new movie will mark the duo’s fourth movie together. They previously starred in A Puppy For Christmas, Love in the Forecast and Chasing Waterfalls together.

“I got to play the fish out of water, so to speak, in this film,” Christopher told Digital Journal in a new interview. “Usually, I play the character that is guiding the other character to show them a different path. This time, I was the one that was guided to a different path.”

In the same interview, Christopher opened up about his friendship and repertoire with Cindy.

“Cindy Busby is the best,” he says. “We first worked together six years ago on ‘A Puppy for Christmas,’ where I played Todd, the mean ex-boyfriend. We clicked right away since we have very complementary personalities.”

Christopher added, “It was lots of fun to do ‘Warming Up To You’ with her. She is a barrel of laughs, that’s for sure. This is our fourth movie together.”

Warming Up To You will center on Kate Wolfe (Busby), is a fitness instructor who leaves Los Angeles to take a job at her best friend’s wellness retreat. To her surprise, A-list actor Rick Steele (Russell) is assigned by the studio to train with her for his new feature film.

Not only does the duo make a breakthrough athletically, but they also equally break through some personal walls and find an unexpected friendship that is put at risk when Rick’s co-star is also sent to train with Kate.

The flick will premiere tonight, Saturday, May 7 at 8 p.m. on Hallmark Channel.
