Olivia O'Brien Clarifies Comments About Pete Davidson, Says They Were Taken Out of Context

Olivia O’Brien clarifies her comments…

While making an appearance on the BFFs with Dave Portnoy, Josh Richards, and Brianna Chickenfry podcast, Olivia was asked what happened between her and the 28-year-old SNL star.

“Where did you hear that?” Olivia asked. “How did you hear that?”

Olivia seemed confused how the hosts even knew about the relationship, to which they replied it ended up as a blind item on the famous Instagram account DeuxMoi.

Olivia then confirmed they dated in October 2020 but didn’t think “anyone knew about that.”

Olivia added that Pete ended things over text before he began seeing Phoebe Dynevor, saying, “He texted me and was like, ‘I’m seeing someone else. So, like, I can’t.’”

Despite the way things ended, Olivia insisted he’s a nice guy and had great things to say about him, adding, “He’s hot and he’s really funny. And he’s really sweet. He’s a really sweet guy.”

Pete‘s rep says the story isn’t true at all though.

The representative said that “there is no truth to this” in a statement to E! News. The rep added that Pete and Olivia “were friends and hung [out] a few times.”

Now, Olivia is clarifying her comments.

“News outlets are taking things I said in an interview (after being asked a VERY specific question) wayyy out of context. I never claimed to date anyone. Stop trying to start weird drama over me texting someone 2 years ago. Jesus Christ,” she said on her Instagram Stories.

She added, “Watch the f–king interview or shut your god damn mouth @/ all the news outlets posting fake stories about me.”
