Here's Why Amber Heard's Insurance Company Reportedly Won't Pay the Judgment in Defamation Trial
Amber Heard lost the defamation trial against ex-husband Johnny Depp last month and now she’s on the hook for more than $8.3 million.
The 36-year-old actress’ legal team is seeking to throw out the judgment by declaring a mistrial, but there’s a chance that won’t happen and she’ll still be on the hook for the large sum of money.
Amber had a $1 million liability policy with New York Marine and General Insurance Co., according to a new report. The policy would have covered a defamation judgment, but the company reportedly is not going to cover her in this case.
